The Characteristics of Persian Historical Gardens (Case Study: Emarat Birooni Garden of Urmia, Iran)

Persian gardens are valuable historical and cultural human-built landscapes however, deteriorating gradually. Thus, comprehensive studies would be helpful in obtaining deeper insights into different aspects meaning of gardens. The descriptive-analytical approach was used to review the EmaratBirooni garden Urmia (Campus University) as it is only remnant Qajar period demonstrating a clear image past model Urmia. Data were employed through literature on-site field study. It found that Campus University had three eras- era 1: Before purchased by American missionaries, 2: settlement 3: After missionaries left delivered government. By examining periods, seen survival campus stemmed from proper uses each era. This suggests new suiting contemporary conditions could beneficial protecting In this respect, essential protect since these can become capital future generations.
